T texaskelt Guest Nov 10, 2008 #3 They were/are both legitimate reasons for concern for the safety and future of America. The difference is, that for the former Soviet Union, "mutual nuclear destruction was a deterrent" for modern fundamentalist terrorists it is "an incentive."
