downtown...? ...Seattle and not on the east side?
I was a contractor in QA for many years at Microsoft, but have lived in San Diego now for about 2 1/2 years doing .NET development at a large energy company. I've been thinking about moving back, but really prefer not to have to live or work on the east side.
