Don't spend the money on the 3gs. It's main attraction is the speed. T-Mobile doesn't support 3g for the iPhone so you'll be using Edge and it's sloooow. Make sure you know how to keep the phone unlocked. It's not all that easy and it's common for people to find themselves witha phone relocked to AT&T and a 2 year T-Mobile contract.
