How is prostitution empowering? Discuss?

Some feminists disagree on the above mentioned issue. Some feminists are all "yeah women can do whatever they want (and that includes selling their bodies for sex. I added that last part). Then feminists on the other side are all "no prostitution is not empowering its degrading, its sexually servicing men that don't respect you (and who call you whores though their the ones purchasing your service). I'm not saying that only feminists have an opinion on prostitution just from my own personal experience. All of the following is from an actual researcher and not my own opinion. In Waikiki Hawaii there are many prostitutes 99.9% of these prost. have pimps. Pimps who take their money use and abuse them, teach them how to lie to police and how to attract other girls. "I get to keep my money, its so empowering, I get to pick my clients, I'm dropping gs a night". The woman who are independent prost. are hounded by pimps and the prost. that work under the pimps. Both the Mustang Ranch and Shady Lady Ranch in Nevada are owned by men. How is this empowering?
