hmmm thats a good question...maybe they took the tests back to back, so it wasn't really taht much different, or maybe he was 10 when he took them, and was put in this class.

Hmm, I thought the same thing. Plot hole? Or maybe the little ninjas join at different ages? I'm thinking the latter over the former. (Also, Perfect Worst Nightmare, this is the graduation exam, not the chuunin exam.)
