How is Ford's Z Plan pricing calculated?

I am interested in the Fusion. Most of the quotes I am getting take off about $2,200 from the MSRP. Then there is $1,500 rebate + $500 FMC bonus cash. So It adds up to a lot. Just wondering how the Z plan price is determined.
