How is Cord Blood related to biology?

Im writing a summary up on an article and i need to explain how cord blood is related to biology. Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks
 
cord blood is the nearest thing to a fetal stem cell.
fetal stem cells can be made to create any cell in the body.
cord blood is as close as you can get to that.

if i were having a child today, and there were facilities to save and store cord blood, i'd do it.
in the not to distant future, as medicine advances, we'll be able to grow organs.
if it becomes necessary, cord blood will be the easiest thing to work with.

all transplants today have rejection problems.
that won't occur with cord blood derived transplants.
that makes it almost magical.
