Not come across anyone like this but the thought just occured to me...
Imagine somebody breeds their dog but ONLY does genetic health testing (so no proving the dog in the show ring or whatever). They send all their pups out on spay/neuter contracts too... they'd ALL be pet-quality.
So they're producing healthy dogs but dogs that don't necessarily conform to the breed standard or that can work. Just healthy pets.
How unreputable would that sort of breeder be?
I'm definitely not against showing/working dogs to find the best of the best, but health to me is a lot more important.
