My girlfriend and I have been in a relationship for just under 3 years now. She is a very caring, loving and giving person. I know that she is truly in love with me and wants to spend the rest of her life with me.
However, we have not been intimate for more than half a year now. The reasoning was always, next-time, I'm tired, or how about 11:00PM on Saturday like it's an appointment. It's gotten to the point where I don't even want it anymore with her and I feel as though it's eating away at the relationship.
1. Is "that part" of intimacy really that important or am I missing something and couples can go on without it for the rest of their lives?
2. For me, I don't classify it as straight-up sex but is there a difference?
Please help.
Thanks.
