Yahoo! Chat offers members the ability to chat under aliases, which allows them to hide their email addresses
You can create up to six (6) additional aliases to use instead of your Yahoo! ID, so you can keep private details private.
Here's how:
1.Click the Messenger menu in Messenger.
2.Select My Account Info. This opens a browser window displaying your account details.
3.Click the Edit/Create Profiles link on the right side of the page.
4.In the lower portion of the page, click Add an alias.
5.Enter a new alias in the box that opens.
6.Click Save.
7.At the bottom of the page, click Close.
Here's how to enter a chat with your new alias.
1.Sign in to Messenger.
2.Select Messenger from the menu bar, then select Yahoo! Chat from the drop down menu, and click Join a Room.
3.In the window that appears, click the down arrow next to Enter Chat room as, and select your Yahoo! ID or an alias. Select a category on the left and a room on the right.
