How hot do ceramic heaters get?

They can get VERY hot to the touch and warm up a large area pretty nicely. I use a 100W ceramic heater on my blood python all day and all night long. theyre great for very shy nocturnal snakes like mine becasue they dont give off bright light like a normal heat bulb would. Just be sure to use it only on one side of the tank so that your reptile can escape the heat in case it gets too hot.
And keep a temperature guage in there to monitor the temps
 
I have 96 cubic feet of open cage space. I need to keep the temps up at night. What size ceramic heater should I use?
I need to maintain 84 degrees. The temps drop to about 71 degrees at night.
