I know it all comes down to personal preferences, but I'm wondering if there are any rules of thumb or guidelines for mounting a large screen plasma.
In particular, the TV in question is being mounted BEFORE the cabinet underneath it is chosen. A low-profile stand to hide some of the wires and perhaps put a couple components and/or switches will be chosen so the TV should be high enough to accommodate a fairly large selection of low-profile choices.
My thoughts are to mount it 30" - 36" from the floor to the bottom of the TV.
For the record, it's being mounted with an articulating tilting mount.
