I have an 86 Ford F150 in which the brakes went out. The brakes slowly went soft and I would have to pump them a few times until they started working. Slowly that got worse and worse and now they barely have anything. Any idea what this could be? Could I do it myself? Definitely not an expert mechanic but I've replaced fuel pumps and alternators in about this year of truck, so that is my skill level. This truck has a lot of life left in it and I would like to see it live instead of go to the scrapheap. Any help appreciated.
