How Hard Is It To Become An Author?

I'm 15 and ever since i was a kid i've LOVED writing. I'm real passionate about it. But i know how hard it is to get into the whole 'writing' business. And most books which are published don't actually become that big. Another problem i have is that i can start stories, but never seem to be able to finish them. But it's all i've ever wanted to do/be.
 
Well i have this story I started writing 2 years ago. And every page is really good. Because if I have an idea i write, if I don't then I don't try to finish it i just wait for an idea. Be patient. About how hard is it, it's not hard you already have something written that I have read just now. Dream, become an author.
 
hey im 15 too and a year ago i started to write a book and i'm almost done with it.

well some days i write whole entire chapters and i am extremly proud of myself. but other days i write so terribly i want to pull my hair out. Its a painful process but its worth it in the end.
Don't worry about getting it published just work on it and try to finish it and make sure its perfect down to the last detail. You don't have to make a carrer out of writing (although that would be an amazing job) but it can be a part time thing for you. Trust me worrring about how big your book is gonna be will get you nowhere. As long as you finish it and hopefully get it published oneday it won't matter how big it is, its the reward that you acually wrote a book that will count!

Actually it is quite easy nowadays. There are so many junky books out there that the name of Author is almost laughable. Pretty much anyone can become an "Author" nowadays if you send the book to a small publisher who will publish anything. But to actually become a famous author takes more work. Probably a bigger publisher would work better, and your story would have to actually be good. (or you could just add some sparkly vampires that stalk people and then it would become famous...)
 
the hardest thing about it is being patient~ if u cant finish them then take a break~ then come back to it and you'll realise the difference and the improvements you make when you feel more relaxed~^^ take your timee~:D
