How good is chocolate really for you?

Ok, we all know that everytime we turn around there a food or drink product that is being recalled or scientific studies decide that something that they thought was good for you, actually is not and we have also heard that chocolate (dark chocolate) is good for you. What about milk chocolate? Is that good for you too in moderation? Isn't moderation really the key of anything that we eat?

My other question is, what are good foods to eat to get good digestion going if you have always been a junk food eater? Sugar is very hard to let go of and even though I am not overweight, I know that if I stop cold turkey on the sugar, it will really through my sustem out of whack...right? or is it best to stop like that?

Yes, dark chocolate is suppose to be good for you, however, most people eat too much. In order to get the part of chocolate that is good for you, a large amount of unhealthy fat is consumed.

The doctor told my husband it was o.k. to eat two small bite size dark chocolates a day, not all he wanted. He had maintained a slim body until this past year when he decided dark chocolate was good for his health and ended up with a pot belly. The belly is not going away, he is 81 today, his cholesterol is not great either as a result.

Do you suppose that milk chocolate has any benefits because it has the cocoa bean in it if eaten in moderation? I love to eat Hershey kisses and just don't know what a good amount eaten everyday should be.
