How good does my credit need to be to not need a down payment on a car loan?

Obviously there is no exact answer but on average, with the average loan company, what would you say your average credit score needed to not need a down payment would be? My score is about 780 right now and I'm looking into getting a new (used) car. I understand a down payment is a good thing to have BUT if I can put the money somewhere else, I'd rather do that.

Another quick question. My monthly income is pretty low so if I get my mom to co-sign, will that ruin my chances? I have great credit with low monthly income while she has decent credit with a high monthly income. If I add her as a co-signer, will I have to end up paying a down payment due to her low credit score?

Sorry if I sound stupid or ignorant but I don't know very much about the whole car buying process.
