I am just wondering? I have one and the speedometer just has 85 on it. It's a 1500 4.3L V6. I'm just wondering if you had it out on a long stretch of road if it would peg the speedometer go a little faster. Anybody tried it?

Drive it off a cliff. If the cliff is tall enough, your truck will be doing well over 100 MPH when it reaches the bottom.

My friend has an 95 with the 4.3L V6 and not only has he pegged the speedometer, but his cop
buddy clocked him at 105MPH and he says that the truck was still unwinding at that point. Si yes
it will peg it out, and then some. I have the 97 Chevy Silverado with the 5.7L Vortec engine and boy does it have some balls. From a dead stop, it will roast the tires like they're not even there.
Full size trucks were meant to have V8's not V6's, there's alot of weight there, and most of the time if you drive your truck responcibly, you'll get better mileage out of the V8, than the V6. Don't
forget that you can add power by installing an aftermarket exhaust and a cold air intake kit. Both
together will add around 52 HP at the rear tires, but it's all a game of hit and miss. Laterz...
