how fast do you rank up in the army?

the first couple promotions happen Pretty fast and you dont have to really do anything to get them. after that, you get promoted based on how many openings they have for that rank. they determine who gets promoted and who doesnt based on a pont system that has to do with various parts of your job, outside education, leadership skills, ect
 
1. You do not rank up in the military.

You rank up on video games.

You are promoted in the military.

The larger the mos, the faster the promotions, being a combat mos, has nothing to do with it.
 
faster in combat MOS because of open slots. it took me 2.5 yrs to make cpl, 3 to make SGT. Then i got out. pretty much went with my tours in iraq. first tour as a joe, get back became a team leader, by the time we deployed again i was a SGT. But thats the infantry, other MOS dont have slots and you tend to find yourself being a SPC for a long time and if you make SGT expect another 6 years to make E6. There is a point scale to different MOS's have combat arms tend to be lower than others that way they can fill the slots

u get "promoted" dnt say rank up 2 someone in the army bad idea lol, and yes u get promoted faster in a combat mos like infantry or MP and more pay like hazard pay if u go to iraq or somethin like that
