...college degree or tertiary education? I know that becoming an airline pilot is impossible without a degree, but what about regional and local airliners? Most pilots never wind up working for an airliner anyway. But is it an acceptable (wise) decision to become a professional pilot having only taken general courses in college for several semesters? Thanks to all members in advance.

My son is a commercial airline pilot and told me he doesn't know one who doesn't have a degree.

If you can get an interview for a regional without a degree you're a pretty lucky guy.
