tsunami back towards LA? I'm writing a novel where the Big One hits offshore and sends a tsunami towards LA. I need to know the closest distance (approx.) the epicenter would have to be out to sea to send a sizable tsunami back to the city. I don't want the quake to take place elsewhere. It has to be a Californian quake.
