ok i'm trying to save energy bill this winter. my central heat system has AEUF (something like that) of 100.0. How much kilowatts per hour does it use? I've been using 1500 watts space heater just to heat the room I'm in and hoping to save big on energy bill. Will my central use a lot more than that if I use that to heat the house?

all electric heaters convert over 95% of their energy into heat, the other 5% leaves as visible light or losses.

By using a room heater, you save energy because the other parts of the house stay cold. So yes a room heater use less energy, it's not because of efficiency, it just heats up a smaller area.
