How Effective Is The CVS Early Result Pregnancy Test?

I took it today and got a negative result even though the box said "99.9% effective the day before your expected period" well mine period came and went on sunday. Does that mean the test was accurate? Or not. On the side it said that 4 days before you period was 50% && less that it would be positive. Should I take another test?
 
Wait it out,and take another one. Because if you had bleeding Sunday,you could just have cycles that are off. I would test again in maybe a week or two. If you take them before your expected cycle,they are usually inaccurate,but not always.
