lot, like a Mastiff? I share a house with someone who owns a very large breed dog. The dog is wonderful, but every time he drinks out of a regular bowl with fresh water he leaves a significant amount of his saliva in the water. It's time consuming to rinse and refill the water bowl several times a day. Are any of the filtered pet fountains on the market worth the money? The ones that I saw after doing a quick web search were around $100. That's a lot of money to spend on something that could break. There would also be the additional cost of replacement filters and the fountains do require manual cleaning. (The stainless steel water bowls that we have now go right into the dishwasher.) I welcome all comments or answers.
