how early can i take a test?

so basically what i want to know is how early a test can predict pregnancy. i should start my period sunday or monday, normally i have bad cramps, im very irritable and i crave chocolate for about a week before my period but lately nothing. i have almost all the signs of pregnancy, but i just want to know, if i take a pregnancy test today, do i have a good chance in an accurate result since my period isn't that far away?

please no rude answers, i am more or less asking those who have experience with taking test before hand, or people that would be able to give me a rough idea.
also, if you could tell me some of the more accurate test, that way i don't get one known for false positives.
 
you could take a first response one today, it can be taken up to 4 days before a due period, however they are expensive and dont always work, i would wait till monday and test first thing in the morning, if it happens to be neg wait 3 days then test again, sometimes it takes time for the hormines to be detected, i have always used tests from the pound shop and they work just as well as any other

depends what test you buy some tests can predict from 4-6days before your period is due. but the closer you wait till your due date the more accurate. remember what u think is your period due date might not be exact so it could really be few days after sunday. you could do a test today but if it came up negative then u could still be pregnant and you should retest 3days after or on your predicted period due date. or go to your doc and get blood test as this is more accurate that the home tests. so you may be able to tell if you are indeed pregnant today but then again you may need to spend more money getting another pregnancy test. but i know what i was like i was very impatient and tested 3days before my due date and it came back neg and then i retested 3days later and it was positive. so its up to you. hope you get the result you want?
 
Please don't be so desperate to get pregnant. Babies are NO fun at all!!!

They burp, pee all day, poop in their underwear and don't listen. A puppy would be more suitable for all aspiring mothers!
