I will be going on an eleven week trip in a few months, so I need a travel backpack. I've never backpacked before, and did some research. I ended up going to Coast Mountain Sports today, and the sales guy showed me the Asolo Navigator 70 Elle and I got it fitted and everything.

I bought it on sale for $160 CDN, and was pretty happy with it after stuffing it with all my boxing day shopping (ALOT), walking around with it for a couple of hours, and finding it comfy.

I also like the attached daypack, which was a priority to me when searching for a backpack. Of course, I scoured the web when I got home, but haven't been able to find many reviews on it.

My question is this: have any of you guys tried this bag for an extended trip? How durable is it? Frankly, I have some doubts about the zippers. Would the stitching tear if the bag is too crammed?

I feel like I can't really judge the quality/long-term potential of this bag. I have 60 days to return it so I'm not screwed if it's a poor bag :)
Also, was that a good price considering it's specs? (see link)
From the research I did, I think so, but I wouldn't mind some opinions.

Sorry for the essay!!
