Well, right now we are in the 3rd year of a severe drought and keeping it watered is problematic. We get fined for over usage and have had to cut back from 15,000 gallons to 5,000 which is tough when you have gardens surrounding your house. So, I collect water when it rains, while I'm waiting for hot water and re-use pasta or potato water when it is cooled to individually water my plants, hanging baskets and containers. So far I've already lost about 50 plants and we haven't even reached triple digit temperatures yet. BooHoo But, it is so dry that weeds just don't even bother to germinate. LOL
