Physically you won't see a difference. Since you see yourself every day in the mirror, the slight gradual changes will mostly likely slip your attention. Pics of before and after 2 weeks or so will make the impact better.

Because all muffin tops and weight are is fat- there is two parts to your weight. Lean weight (muscles, bones and organs weight's totaled together) and fat (much less percentage than lean). Muffin tops are just when you have so much fat that it spills over the front of your pants, and is fairly visible even when nude. Biking and jogging, if done with extreme energy, will burn calories per hour. Usually 500 or so for jogging and biking. Your body automatically burns 1200 cals or so just living the day. Add an extra 500, and it burns 1700 a day. Eat about 1200 to make sure your body survives, it'll need food to run for the extra 500 cals worth. That's why fat exists- it takes spare calories and stores them so in an emergency when your body needs food it can turn to them and burn the calories in the fat. Minus 500 calories worth of fat a day, you can lose 3500 calories a week from the fat, which is the equivalent of one pound of fat. As long as you're exercising so vigorously that you're sweating for an hour or two each day and eating approx. 1200 calories only, it'll burn about a pound of fat a week. The more you exercise, keeping the diet at 1200 cals, the faster it'll go. Plus normal walking and jogging is healthy for your heart, so walking in the first place is a good idea, even if you can't go all out for an hour running 20-30 minutes of brisk walking will keep you more healthy.
