How does it refer to being a journalist?thanks

John Keating: No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world.

Journalists are reporters. They reach out to a lot of people. Until a word or idea is expressed no one else may be thinking about it. Everything starts as a thought. Then it begins to form by words and an idea presents itself. Then the journalist tells about it and who knows where it will go and what it will become from there.

It refers to being a journalist because the words and ideas that journalists express ultimately affect their readers. Journalist persuade and help inform people, and the things they say can make or break certain situations. So, the words that journalist put on paper about certain ideas can change the way people look at those things.
Does that make sense?
Hope I helped!
