How does the Verizon Family Plan work?

My two parents have a 700 minute plan. If I am added to the plan, it would only cost another 10$ a month right? How does the plan work, my parents are not too sure. Is it 700 minutes per line, or 700 total and its shared through each line?
 
700 total. All those min are shared througout the family plan. They have free phone calls to Verizon customers. As well as 10 phone numbers(can be non verizon customers) you call often and it wont use the 700 min. Good Luck
