so... my car just got totaled, and i have to get something else. i'm considering getting a 2002 toyota celica, but i'm curious to know - how do they handle on snow and ice? it's kind of a big deal, since i live in montana.

in comparison, my other car that was wrecked was a 2005 scion tc.

I had a 98 stick. best car I ever drove. I drove that thing where people in trucks were pooing themselves. Lake bottoms, dirt roads, snow, ice.

The Celica actually handles pretty well on icy roads. The front wheel drive is better than a rear wheel drive for those conditions. If you have studded tires on it then you can get through a lot of tough spots with it.
I live in Alaska where roads are icy 9 months out of the year.

Based on other people's answers, doesn't sound too bad. I have a Nissan Maxima, and it's GREAT in snow/ice! It handles so well, that it's actually kinda fun drivin in the snow! We had a pretty big snowstorm a few weeks back, and it seems like EVERY car/SUV was stuck on the side of the road while I was just cruisin by. I didn't get stuck once!
