what are your experiences with the RX-8 in the rain?

Most people say (from what i have heard/read anyways) that it is horrible in the rain, very high tendency to slip all over the place?

Also a few related questions:

Does the RX-8 not come standard with Summer (dry, paved road) tires, thus hindering its wet performance?

What would be good "all-season" tires to get that have good dry and wet road performance?

I am about to purchase a used 2004 RX-8, and would like to know what i should do to prepare for rain. Obviously slow down, but i always do that in the rain. the RX-8 will be my daily driver so it will be an eventual thing.

If i am not mistaken the RX-8 comes standards with either performance tires or summer tires or something similar, which could account for some of the danger. I figured putting "all-season" (which really end up being 2-3 season tires since they are not well suited for the snow) would make it better for the rain.

Anyone agree, dis-agree, comments, anything?

buddy, I'm driving an old '88 Toyota Camry and it still handles in the rain. Yes it does slip and slide a bit, but being a good driver, I can handle that and not loose control. If you question your driving ability, dont buy a hot car. And I'm assuming you're not going to be drifting in the rain lol.
