I have packaged short grain brown rice that I rinsed a few times and am letting soak overnight. The directions say to cook for 50 minutes, then let sit for 10. How would an overnight soak affect the cooking time and/or how much water I should add to the rice after I've drained out the water I've soaked it in? What it says on the package, or less because it may have absorbed some water? I've never soaked rice before so I didn't want to mess things up.
