Yes, been checked for STD, and I'm on the pill :)
I'm aware it apparently feels better without one, but how is this; the pleasure or do you also get the benefit of feeling much closer emotionally? The other thing is,
We've also pretty much lost our virginity to eachother, would that perhaps make that feeling much deeper, stronger, closer too?

The emotional aspect varies depending on the people involved. If you are already quite close, it does give an additional feeling of intimacy that wasn't there when the latex barrier was. As long as you are both as sure as you can be it's the safe/wise thing to do, then go for it.

You can get pregnant on the pill. Other than getting pregnant you need to worry about STDs. Before you and your partner take this relationship to the next level, you need to go together and get tested for HIV and share the results with each other. Also both partners need to be inform if they are wanting to have sex with somebody else while your together. Its a pretty risky thing to partake if you dont have all your questioned answered beforehand.
