I just got my first credit card! I've been using debit cards all through college to help me keep my finances in check but now I have a full time job and a lot more expenses.
My credit card has a $300 dollar limit (starter card) and I spend about $1200 monthly on rent/gas/fun but I'm paying it all via debit at the moment. Is it possible instead to charge my credit card for say... $250 each week and pay it off that same week using online bill pay? I mean..would I be able to charge a total of $1000 to my credit card every 4 weeks as long as I keep spending and paying off $250 per week using bill pay (which posts same day for my credit card provider)?
Or would I need to only spend up to $300 a month? How does this work? Does my credit build faster if I do this or will the credit card company charge me fees for going over my credit limit of $300? Thanks for all your help!
