How does one transfer the video or 'still pictures' from the Canon 210 Camcorder onto...

...their PC? I've just recently purchased a Canon 210 Camcorder. It has some nice features but what the vendor didn't tell me was that I wouldn't be able to download the video or the 'still pictures' onto my PC for further editing. Help. All answers are appreciated.
