How does Lincoln inspire YOU (10 points)?

I was wondering how Lincolns life and teachings inspire you today. I need to write a school paper on it and have a little writers block.
The topic is pretty much open ended.
 
Aw man Lincoln was awesome and for some reason at the library there are soooo many books about him!!
I like his thoughtful nature...one of my fave quotes associated with him is : To stand in silence when one should be protesting , makes cowards of men .
 
I am inspired by the fact he was able to raise himself above the times and situation and see what was right and do it, I am inspired by the fact a man had a dream and regardless of his upbringing and education he was able accomplish that dream
