In court, people use a religion for an oath. Where the person has to put their hand on the bible and give a statement that's true. Now what happens if an atheist or non believer had to give an oath? What do they have to do to prove their statement is true?

And secondly how can't someone say "the devil made me do it" if they still use religion in court to promise under oath? They trying to introduce religion but they also trying to avoid it as a reason. If someone was a christian, how can he/she believe the person when they "promise to god" if they themselves ignore the person when they say the devil told them to do it? They contradict themselves...
