...book and movie? Im having problems starting my essay about comparing and contrasting a scene in a book from movie.
As many know a book is relatively different from the movie.

Im comparing and contrasting Schindler's List which is about a German man trying to save Jews during the WWII.
Specifically a scene where the main character witnesses the execution of Jews and a small girl in a red jacket which makes him change and do anything to save as many Jews as he can.

I cannot think of how to start it. I just need tips on how to start a compare and contrast essay, the thesis statement.

Mine right now is :
It’s hard to stand out of a crowd, even harder to be remembered.

I don't know whether to add more or less or what. Any help is wanted :]

Please and thank you!

Hmmm... what you have to remeber is the thesis is what you are trying to prove throughout the entire essay. If it is a comparison and contrast essay, you want to be proving something about the difference between the book and the movie, and maybe what that difference accomplishes in each case. You could say something like "The scene with the little girl in the red jacket shows this in the film, and this in the movie." Then replace "this" with what it is showing. Or you could say "The film Schindler's List makes the scene with the girl in the red jacket more poignant than the book does." then go into explaining why in your body paragraphs. sorry, I could help more if I knew more about the book and the movie...
