I have an old gasoline powered outboard/trolling two-stroke motor and it has a separate pull cord that winds around the top of the crank.
It has a groove (similar to a V-belt pully) to seat the cord and a notch that I suppose could fit the end of the cord into prior to winding.
I've tried looking for methods of doing this, but cannot seem to figure out the wording for a solid hit on the proper way to do this.
Is anyone familiar with this old-school type of starting mechanism and willing to give some detailed steps to get the damn thing fired up?
