It has been awhile since I last did this kind of thing so sorry if this question sounds a little silly.
Anyways, my problem is that I create a PHP file using Mac's 'TextEdit' application and then save it with the .php extension but when I try to open it up in Firefox it doesn't open the document, It just asks me if I want to save it.
Here is a screenshot of what happens:

As you can see I am using Firefox, I tried opening the document in Safari and all that did was show the coding not what the actual outcome was suppose to be.
I have looked around the internet to try and solve this problem but haven't come across anything. Any information would be helpful.
