how do you turn on jbl factory amplifier in a 1990 mercury grand marquis?

i have a 1990 mercury grand marquis and i just installed a new deck and speakers the deck works but i cant get any sound through it i read up that i have to do something with a blue wire to the amplifier if someone would liek to freshen me up on exactly what that means that would be great. beacsue i would really like to listen to music in my car
