How do you turn off the flash mode on a sanyo 2.8 inch lcd monitor?

I tried to press the button with the "thunder bolt" on it, but the icon doesn't change. It is still on the flash mode, and when i take pictures with the flash on, the flash is blinding.. HELP?

p.s. i held the button down for a long time, and nothing didn't happen...
