In America, tipping is 10-20%, depending on service. However, what if you're eating in a place that's a cross between fast food and a sit down eatery?
For example, a local Mexican food restaurant uses actual dish and silverware for food presentation. But you get your own drinks and chips. Someone brings the food out to you, but there's no trash can or bin to store your dirty dishes, which means obviously someone has to come by to clean and pick up what you leave behind.
Is the tipping the same? I was under the impression it's not, and if people tip at all, it's usually a few dollars.
Help?
