How do you throw bombs in the game "Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap" ?

I already know how to place a bomb down, but I don't know how to throw one. I was looking at some cheats for the game and I'm really confused. There is half a bridge over a dark pit and the switch is on the other side of the pit to make the bridge whole again. What do I do? Is there a button I have to press? I have tried the gust jar all ready but it didn't work. I am running out of patience and I'm running out of bombs! So could anyone please help me?
 
don't know about this particular game but in other Zelda games the drop bomb button becomes a throw button when you are moving. so try running a pressing the button used to drop bombs.
