Looking at a bunch of early polls it looks like a debacle for the Republicans.

Alaska - longtime incumbent, Ted Stevens (R) is hanging by a thread

Colorado, Mark Udall (D) has a healthy lead

Kentucky. incumbent Mitch McConnel (R) is ahead but looking vulnerable.

Mississippi - Ronnie Musgrave (D) is solidly ahead in the race for Trent Lott's old seat.

New Hampshire - Jeanne Shaheen (D) is beating Sununu's pants off

New Mexico - Tom Udall (D) is running away in race for Pete Domenici's vacated seat

Virginia - Mark Warner (D) is running away in race for John Warner's seat.

Other incombents look like they will hold.

That is 5 seats the Dems will likely pickup with a good chance at 7. A few other Republicans might still tumble if the Obama landslide looks as complete as it is looking now.

Kathryn, check the swing state polls on realclearpolitics. Obama is sweeping nearly all of them and looking competitive in others, such as Georgia that nobody dreamed could go Democratic. This is going to be a huge landslide. Not of Reagan proportions but nothing like we've seen since then.
