how do you tell the same sex that you like them for more than friends?

I am a woman who has fallen hard for another. I have never felt this way about another woman before and i have never done anything with another female but this one makes me want to and i am scared to tell her how i feel. I think in the past she may have liked me but I never realized my feelings at that time. What can i do to see if she likes me? what can i do to let her know i like her without scaring her off? Help!!

I'd say mention something having to do with homosexuality to her, like "oh what do you think of the l word?" something of that nature..at least you'll know whether she's open. If it's a green light..try just having a causal conversation with her..let her see your wonderful personality..and ask her to hang out sometime! build on that..she might get the point.

If she's straight, leave her alone. If one of my friends told me that, I don't know if I could be friends with them anymore to be honest.
