how do you stop red hair dye fading?

I dyed my hair red, and in less than 2 weeks it's gone from a reaaally rich and bright red, to a pinky orange colour. Everytime I wash my hair, it fades a bit more. I can't afford to have my hair dyed professionally, or even to do it myself every 2 weeks. What shampoos and stuff are the best to keep the colour from fading in hair, preferably ones you can buy in England. Pleeease help.
