I've often had ideas for products OR services but I'm afraid I'll only waste my time. I've seen people come up with products and services only to find that within a few months a huge multimillion dollar company steals the idea and starts doing the same thing. I know that products have patents (which as we've seen still doesn't always work in stopping big companies from taking the idea as their own). but what about services? I mean how did these two young guys make youtube happen without NBC or CBS just putting up their own site as competition?
