How do you stay "current" with todays fashion trends?

Like I was looking around on Gucci today and noticed that alot of the Fall/Winter 2011 clothes is all 70's style clothes, Striped Sweaters, and Turlenecks. Why does fashion constantly change and how do you keep up with the times? Just constantly look for what they have for sale? Is there any good Mens Fashion Magazines, Websites, Blogs, Forums, Youtube Channels, etc?
 
Well all depending on your age group, you can always look at your piers or the people who surround you when you go to certain places. Such as the club, your work place, mall, etc. doing this helps you get a sense of what is "current" or appropriate to wear in certain places.
 
forget trends :) start your own. just make sure that your style and outfit choice doesn't clash with the season or time of year
