Hi there
Great Question. However, it leaves two school of thoughts – firstly you know what business you are going to do and how, just asking of the legal and technical know hows, or secondly you do not know what kind of small business you want to start up?

My answer will be focussed towards the second line. Its great decision that you wanted to start up your small business. Now narrowing on what you want to do? In that case, first find where is the necessity- what kind of business is required in your locality? Are you thinking of a home based business or a web based business? Then focus on your personality – what do you think you are good at doing?

Now marry these two answers and you will find the magic formula for the perfect small business for you. Always talking to local accountants, lawyers, marketers is handy. I strongly recommend you read the book “E-myth Revisited”, a must read for all small business owners. And if you could put your hands on, play the Leverage game by Brad Sugars.
